Artist's Statement

I find myself captivated by the ability of simple stitches to create visual and textural impact and work both by hand and machine. I prefer to colour my own cloth or papers using various agents including dyes and acrylics. Where possible I source vintage or discarded fabric, threads and embellishments to re-imagine and re-purpose. I work intuitively, influenced largely by my surroundings.

I have exhibited throughout Norfolk and have participated annually in the Norfolk and Norwich Open Studios scheme. Alongside my membership of West Norfolk Artists Association, I am a founder member of mixed media collaborative, 'Links & Layers.'
